Prior to entering a group, we will meet with parents to determine needs and skill level of the child to determine which group will most benefit your child.

Individual Pet Therapy

Individual classes can be done with or without a dog, and will be tailored to the individual child's needs. We know that in individuals with executive function difficulties, they have decreased visual working memory which can lead to difficulties planning and executing tasks.

The goal of individual sessions will be to help the child with self-monitoring, develop better time management and organization in order to improve daily routines and school readiness.

Executive Function Group

During the executive function classes, children will be placed into groups according to their age and developmental abilities. With the dogs, we will perform goal-directed activities that are meant to improve executive functioning and create positive developmental outcomes.

Over the course of the 4-week sessions the goal will be to see improvement in: self-regulation, emotional control, planning, flexible and adaptable thinking and self-monitoring.

Open Play (all ages)
